"In 1994, Stéphane ROBERT created the Tunnel Domain. It starts with 2.5 ha of vines on the right bank of the Rhone, in Ardèche in the appellations Cornas, Saint-Péray and Saint-Joseph .. The winery is in the city center of Saint-Péray. In 2013, the estate expanded its range with an additional AOC: Condrieu. In 2014, Stéphane rehabilitated a tunnel in Saint-Péray at a place called "Barras" to install a winery and wine cellar. At the beginning of the 20th century, this 170m long stone tunnel was crossed by a steam train linking Valence to Vernoux en Vivarais. The cellar overlooks the Rhone valley with a breathtaking view of the Crussol castle. To date, the vineyard covers 11 hectares, in the communes of Saint-Péray, Cornas, Glun, Mauves, Tournon sur Rhône and Chavanay. The cuvées are vinified mainly from old vineyards on hillsides or terraces on granitic soils. Stéphane raises his wines with passion. He mainly uses for its Cornas and Saint-Joseph barrels of 1 to 3 wines. Depending on the vintage and vintages, it may use new barrels or wooden vats. This variety of forest allows it to make adapted and precise breeding. All production is marketed in bottles. The wines of the domain are represented on the most beautiful tables of France and the world.
