Region: Touraine Chenonceaux, Loire Valley, France
Features: Organic
Distributor's Notes:
"Domaine Ricard's Tasciaca comes from hand-harvested Sauvignon Blanc from Chenonceaux, a village that, because of its high-quality wines, is allowed to use the village name on the label of Touraine Sauvignon Blanc. The Sauvignon Blanc vines are 30-40 years old, fermented and aged in a mix of neutral 400-liter oak barrels (75%) and stainless-steel tanks (25%). Mid-gold color in the glass, the wines has enticing aromas of stone fruits and ginger alongside hints of citrus and dried honey. The palate is well-rounded from the time in barrel, though still fresh and lively with a long finish filled with juicy citrus fruits. Enjoy with roast chicken and asparagus."
