This variety copes less well with lack of water, preferring stable conditions, neither too dry nor too wet, in order to grow steadily throughout the entire growth cycle. Three different soil types are found in this parcel: sandy clay-silt calcosol overlying ‘astéries’ Bordeaux limestone, colluvial clay-silt calcosol on clay-limestone, and clay-rich, calcosol soils.Here on these soils, Cabernet Franc, an elegant, floral variety, reveals all its finesse through its light, delicate and spicy character.
