"Françoise, Béatrice and Didier Mayard comprise the fifth generation of the famille Mayard with cellars in heart of the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The estate is spread across 43 hectares, some of them planted over a century ago, featuring a huge diversity of terroirs and grape varieties. Françoise Roumieux was the 5th generation winemaker at the prestigious Mayard family estate for over two decades. With the 2016 vintage Françoise expanded her efforts with a small negociant project for Côtes du Rhône and with the 2019 vintage, the inclusion of "Le Hurlevent" Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The families holdings have recently split and Françoise manages and producers the parcels of both her and her sisters 30 hectares. With certified organic farming on the estate, the F/R micro-negociant project sources from farmers with the same respect. President of Femmes Vignes Rhône, an organization that shines a light on the women working in the Rhône valley wine industry, Françoise sources through these partners whenever possible.
