"Erika has worked in her family's estate most of her life and took over winemaking duties when her father passed in 2011. She now tends her 14 hectares of densely-planted vines with the help of her Mother. This comes from grapes grown on hillsides rich in clay and chalk. Working in the most natural way possible, this wine is from hand-harvested old-vine grapes, fermented using native yeast in cement vessels and lightly filtered. Free SO2 is around 30mg/l. It offers beautiful notes of bright cherry tea, red apple skins, sour cherries, and earth on a medium frame with fresh bright plums ending with a long clean finish."
