"The Pinot Noir from the Sisters Vineyard has a garnet color of medium depth with a bit of carmine to the hue. The aromas of this vintage center on ripe plum and red raspberry. There are also notes of currants and black cherry. Aging in second fill French oak has generated a bouquet of hazelnut, vanilla, and buttered toast that marries perfectly with the fruit. This is a savory wine with flavors of ripe dark berried fruit: mulberry and olallieberry. The oak adds a creamy texture that is both round and free of any oak derived tannins. Because this wine has soft gentle tannins it can carry a bit more acidity which contributes a brightness to the flavor and suggests that this wine will hold its fruit character well when given time in the cellar during which additional complexities may develop. My favorites with this wine is rack of lamb, beef bourguignon, and cedar plank salmon."
