CloseOnce a contributor to the co-operative Prosecco wine-making system, Ruggero Ruggeri decided to use his ten acres of high-altitude Valdobbiadene fruit for his own wines. The Extra Dry Primario is 100% hand-harvested Glera fermented in stainless steel. It spends 3 months on the lees for the first fermentation and then another 40 days in tanks for the second fermentation. Lighter medium-bodied, very slightly off-dry at a level of 11% alcohol. Fine mousse, peach, apricot and apple flavor. A leesy finish with a nice balance of acidity to fruit. Pair with antipasti, spicy foods, fruit desserts, or drink alone as an aperitif.
